The Hurricane CAT 5 Carpet Washer requires careful handling and regular maintenance. Users should read the manual, check the unit for damage, and ensure the correct voltage. Assemble the washer, fill the tank with warm water and a recommended cleaning solution, and avoid other cleaning agents. Before cleaning, vacuum the carpet and test for colorfastness. During use, avoid saturating the carpet and operate systematically to prevent stepping on wet areas. After use, empty the dirty water tank, clean the machine with a damp cloth, and avoid submerging it in water. Finally, clean the components and store the unit in a dry place out of children's reach.
