Outstanding optical performance This 28-70mm F2.8 has an advanced design that includes three aspherical, two FLD, and two SLD elements for correction of axial chromatic aberration and sagittal coma aberration, which cannot be corrected in-camera. Exceptional sharpness across the whole frame The lens is ultra-sharp throughout the aperture range and across the whole frame. This detail of a tree from the edge of the image on the left demonstrates the exceptional level of detail this lens is able to resolve. There is also no chromatic aberration visible. Super Multi-Layer Coating and Nano Porous Coating Along with its anti-ghosting design, the use of Super Multi-Layer Coating and Nano Porous Coating means well-controlled flare for high-contrast results in backlit conditions. It also features a water and oil-repellent coating on the front side of the lens.
